That's the line that every Left Behind larper seems to want to duck. Much like Luther with the James, it's really inconvenient to what they're trying to sell. This really isn't the forum for this, so I'll try to be brief. The idea of using Revelation as a tarot, a crystal ball, or set of bones with which to divine the specificities about the future is not Christian. At all. In broad strokes, the take away is that bad things happen but that Christ ultimately triumphs. All the associated imagery -- thrones, beasts, numbers, etc -- are in there for a reason, but that reason isn't to provide any one person with the catalyst for some specific prediction about the future. Trying to study that book without a solid understanding of the rest of canon and the moment in time when it was written is a bad idea. Emphasizing that book without those things is an exponentially bad idea.

At the end of the day, anon, we all have to decide what we're going to talk about and where but there's a good amount of posting on here that cites the Bible that should make you uncomfortable. Time and place is a real concern, and quote texting has led to some really bad moments and decisions.

Ripple are being sued by the SEC who are claiming it's a security not a currency. The US government, as well as several other countries, have already declared it a currency. They had the chance to settle before the case and chose not to.
