Why should the SEC classify eth2 as a security when eth1 isn’t one. What would be the consequences, it’s still decentralized so there’s nothing they can do to shut it all down right? What even is the difference between a security and the current eth1 ?

Locking eth for staking allows you to mine based on your locked amount, so what you stake is a collateral. You still need to do Pow stuff. Getting payed fplor staking would be a security if you would just lock it in a contract. But this is only half the deal. Eth will be fine and altseason will come soon. I am pretty sure no maxi is buying btc rn since eth is way to undervalued. I keep on buying more eth every 2 weeks
