Here's some actual fud from someone who thinks The Graph is an incredible project and a vital, major part of the Web3.0 stack.
Signalling subgraphs is rewarded on a bonding curve, which is a fancy way of saying that the sooner you signal on a subgraph, the more proportional rewards you get compared to people that signal later.
This, for me, explains the launch moon, as every market participant wanted to get GRT and signal their chosen indexer as soon as possible. Even just being one place ahead would amount to a significant difference in the long run.
But the other side of that is surely that the incentive to buy GRT quickly diminishes as subgraphs fill up. The rewards are diluted not just by other people in the pool, but the fact that the earlier signallers get a disproportionately high reward compared to people signalling later.
Sure, the creation of new subgraphs allows for more opportunities to get in early, but how many subgraphs are there going to be? Well, tons, I guess. Yaniv said that the entirety of the world's public data could be placed on top of The Graph. Maybe we're not late after all...

I have 300K and not delegating right now. When will this bonding curve launch? is this AFTER the mainnet launch? or before?

There will be way more indexers and subgraphs in the future. The incentive won't change

I WANT TO ASK SOMETHING TO SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTAND THE GRAPH!!

Is the supply dump (or unlocking for Backers) justified For you or not?
Will it makes the market dump?

There will be multiple subgraphs.

i never had the chance to read enough... i heard about people buying then changing cut % to 100% and then tokens locked for 28 days. also don't know which delegator to choose.

should i delegate all my coins or wait ?

You can delegate to indexers who have fee lockups, so they can't change the fees. Some indexers have 120 day lockups already.
But come on, anon. This is all shit you can find out easily on your own if you get off /biz/. You have 300k GRT and you're not bothering to do basic research?

>> No.25186864

>>25186693
if you have 300k you might as well wait for the bull run and delegate later. Or split it 50-50.
The unlock period is 28 days, so if you delegate all, you might miss the peak.

You can’t even curate yet
Delegating to an indexer is not signaling to a subgraph

do you mind sharing with us a bit more then? when can we start signalling to a subgraph and what would that entail?
