>so I'm guessing we'll need other people voting as well?

First of all getting on the voting list itself seems an arbitrary process. There are so called official user polling on Bct but most of them have just been ignored

let's say somehow we even get CR on the cryptsy voting list , after that all we get is 1 free Vote and all paid votes later, unless you have a lot of cryptsypoints stacked up

In mintpal CR has received ~ 500 votes and I have at least given 200 of those votes easily. So yeah we are gonna need shitton of voters since cryptsy only let's you vote for free once

Maybe, cryptsy is not that good an exchange anyway so its not gonna do much good for Cr IMO

>You seem to be doing quiet a lot in terms of votes so what else do you suggest we can do to promote it?

We need more services to keep Cr alive and healthy, we need to find the easiest ways to get on as many services as possible. Its best to focus on one service at a time however

Right now the least costly way to get on a new exchange is mintpal

My next service to be focused for Cr would be coin-swap.net, since it would take around 100000 Doge to get on it quickly. Also getting on coin-swap will open many new markets for Cr

Gambling sites is being worked on anyways, poker will help a lot since its the most social form of gambling online IMO

So my focus is right now mintpal

are you not registered user of mintpal

paying for votes is ridiculous at those prices

0.1 BTC for just 1000 votes

you need to pay 10 BTC to come close to winning a certain week.

10 BTC just to get on an exchange is plainly stupid imo

One step at a time. And I think a RPG would be much better suited for cyptocurrencies, like a private wow server or diablo 2. I've set up at private wow server before and it wasn't that hard. All the ingame gold is stored in a database. So if you had an online wallet service for credits you could link that wallet with the gold database and you would be able to spend credits inside world of warcraft.

Here's a quick logo for our starcraft league, please give me critique and I'll work on it more when I get back from uni

You host a modified version of wow on a server. The wow private server community is huge and a cryptocurrency would be much more useful inside a MMORPG than in a FPS. CS is probably easier to get running smoothly though. How do you see credits working in CS? I don't think just being able to buy weapons with credits would be very interesting. Maybe it could be possible that the two teams both deposit the same amount of credits and then the winning team gets everything? Or maybe we could modify some of those extremely simple, yet addicting games like "OpenLieroX" or "Achtung, die Kurve" with the same concept where the winner takes all

How about even online fighting games tournaments that people can join via whatever online fighting game is possible?

Same concept credits entry fee, winner gets all

What i was really hoping for is where we could mod a tournament type game to be futuristic/cyberpunk sci-fi-ish, maintain an economy in it (in game purchases/markets etc) with credits and also hold tournaments with payouts as credits

But i cant think of any such game other than CS or TF2 or maybe even in Garry's mod. It will perhaps be not to hard to mod these games in such a way

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but what the heck.

I've been having trouble getting dogecoin (v 1.6) started - synchronization issues. I dismissed it at first, since most forum discussions on the matter indicated that synchronization could take bloody forever. However, after a couple of days spent stuck 15 hours behind, I checked the number of blocks processed on my end vs the number of blocks indicated on https://dogechain.info/chain/Dogecoin and found that they tallied - which suggests to me that there's something up with my system time, despite it being automatically synchronized to time.nist.gov. Also tried w32tm /config /update in command prompt, but no luck.

I have no idea what's going on. This is my first foray into cryptocurrencies, so I'm probably missing something retardedly obvious.

Dogecoin is loosing its popularity fast (It was fun while it lasted) Since you are here try downloading the Credits client (from the top of this thread) and see if it sync's since the block chain is a lot smaller at the moment. If it still doesn't sync after 5-10 mins and your time is correct try checking your firewall to see if it is blocking any incoming connections or temporarily disabling it. If that still does not work then check your router as they can sometimes have built in firewalls too.
