Its a tax-free inflation protected savings account that includes a death benefit.
its not either / or everyone should have term+whole.
with a whole policy you can take a "loan" that is your money (drawn against future death benefit) so they literally dont care if you ever pay it back. So after paying in for 10-15 years you could take a $100K loan (tax free) and buy bitcoin @5k and 5x your money. ask me how I know.
