1. Coinbase worked with the SEC and is allowed to trade securities.
2. The SEC today gave exchanges a 5 year pass if they are trading securities.
3. They do not want to take a hit financially.

This whole thing gave me a headache but I'm going to go take some pills and grind out the rest of the night doing small sell orders to hopefully break even before the next leg down. I simply wanted to get free Spark tokens in the new year, and bought 20,000 of the things at €0.48 a few days before the date. Since then, ETH and BTC have gone way up, and I’m left holding these crushing bags.
I am a long term investor, and in general don’t touch my cryptos for months at a time. Then the ONE fucking trade I make to hopefully earn a quick buck, I get totally fucked. Is there any hope for me left? I still have 9,000 XRP. What’s the best strategy from here?

If my worst case doesn't play out then maybe I will be able to keep some of the faith but once it dumps under 25 cents again I think I will have to sell the majority of my bags at a slight loss just to make sure that my short nets me a little bit of profit.
