Ripple was sued and XRP is sinking down like a rock. With Sergey constantly dumping huge amounts of link and pretty much slowly exit scamming, the chances are high that Chainlink will go down next. Prove me wrong.

Link is actually providing a valuable network (unlike xrp), so i think that should also be taken into account.
The question of whether LINK is a security or not I dont know. Its a token that is used to secure and provide value to the chainlink network.
So not necessarily a company, but a decentralized network. (at the moment this is different, because it is mostly sergey and his fat ass cashing out)

Used by very few companies and LINK tokens had to be market dumped to subsidise (bribe) those companies to use it. Just like XRP.

It is also not decentralised because just like XRP, the supply is mostly held by 2-3 people.
