if you held spot btc now you profit 690$
if you margin trade with lets say 2x leverage then that means your 23k is treated as 46k and the 3% increase means 1380$ for you, so whats the catch? you pay funding every 8 hours (thats usually around 0.01% of your current position worth although it can vary) and you are also giving a liquidation price
say you long on 23k on 2x then your liquidation price would be around 15k so if price drops under that then your entire position is automatically closed and you lose all money in that position

You can open either a long position or a short position depending if you think price will go up(long) or down(short). Then you decide a target price that you think your position will reach and close your position there. Example:
Long in 23k and want to close on 23.5k, you set limit order on 23.5k and once the price goes there the position closes and you get profit.
