terrible indicator. usually whales put up psychological sell walls and pull them at the last minute before it's broken through. these are only good for determining short term price movements. use tradingview

up

>> No.25017217

huge sell walls are bullish, whales trying to keep the price suppressed. If they actually wanted to sell they would just dump it

>> No.25017246

>>25017124
The chart is the number of orders at each price. The sell wall (big red box) means that there are many unfulfilled sell orders. For the price to increase past that wall, buyers would have to match all those sell orders. A massive sell wall means it will take longer to burn through that price. It's a bad sign for the price.

huge sell walls are bearish, whales trying to keep the price propped up. If they actually wanted to sell they would place a limit order

this.

believe or not use this the opposite way, it's very counterintuitive but what's really happening is that some whale or maybe more set an big ass sell whale that cause 1 thing:

People panic thinking number will never ever go up again and sell below that wall so whales can accumulate cheaper

Once you touch a single cent out of thst wall it dissappears and they put the wall higher

>> No.25017334

s'just so you can visualise the sell orders vs buy orders. red means price down, typically.

>> No.25017390

The red wall are all pajeets looking for a 1.3x the green wall are brainlets and wash traders

It means absolutely fuck all, kid. Depth basically just shows you where the walls are. But it doesn’t mean anything. It means the price will have difficulty getting past those sell orders, but the walls can be destroyed in milliseconds. It’s usually just whales trying to keep price low.

yes, most of the time its just bots anyway. If you watch the walls will jump around: .2% over, .3% over, .4% over, repeat....

>> No.25019157

idk what the meta is for GRT but for link sell walls are extremely bullish as its essentially people naming a price that they wont sell under.

That's what they want you to think. You're sitting there thinking about how grand life would be if your 10000 shitcoins went up by $1.25 each and then you look at the order book and you get spooked. In time you realize >>25017217 is spot on. I didn't believe it when I was newer; I thought people were just trying to sound "matter-of-fact" smart when they'd say sell walls are bullish and buy walls are bearish. But it's absolutely true
