Do you hold promising coins with good developments even if your money is bleeding away? At what point are you supposed to just cut your losses?

Don't invest what you aren't willing to lose.

So you’re not supposed to cut your losses ever?

I only throw in 1k total on anything I invest in, and if I can't get at least 10,000 of that coin for 1k then I won't touch it
I also won't touch anything that's already pumped over 10%
Only exception to this was bitcoin when I bought in 2014, anything else shilled here, if it isn't under 0.9c I won't even look into it
Multi X gains overnight or bust, nobody has time sit around staring at charts.

yes, you cut losses, or you become one of the many suicidal retards who has lost 99% on something. hint: they're on this board and they're sure as hell on reddit.
as to when? you should decide beforehand. look for moving averages and trendlines. one reason to cut your losses is to stop losing money on an investment. the other reason is to not pay the opportunity cost of holding something that isn't going to go up. another is to not go on tilt and downward spiral into making shitty decisions until you're at -90%

You're not going to be entering the 6 or 7 figure club any time soon with this mentality.

> in b4 u say i invested in btc back in 2014. yeah we get it, you bought 1 btc for $5. cool

If the project is fundamentally sound, and you don't have the nerve to exit your position and buy back lower, you just gotta hold on for the ride

You ain't supposed to cash out Anon.
That is the whole ethos behind crypto, to fully replace fiat.

>promising coins
thatvis the point. Do you really think the coin is promising, meaning it has a purpose or do you think promising in terms of „I hope other people fomo in“. In the first case I would hold longer than with the second case. I for example sold my WOZX as soon as it started to dump

It's as simple as switching in and out of alts holdings based on BTC dominance. Don't try to cover for straight up bad investing using fundamentals, those fundamentals will be the same after I buy more for cheaper as BTC dominance climbs and its prices goes BOTH up and down.
