25001567 No.25001567 [Reply] [Original]

If you bought this at all within the last 3 years, your address, full name, email, and phone number have been leaked.

The "9500" was a random number Ledger provided. Over 270k customers were leaked.

I found my info on there. Not sure what to do now. I live in a liberal hellhole, can't own any guns.

I'm on that list. At first I had a panic attack but an anon on here calmed me down a few weeks back.

The reality is like >>25003601 anon says leaks like this happen all the time, and that rich people actually show off their wealth. The days of people physically coming after you are gone for the most part unless you live in a high crime area.

What you really need to worry about are phishing and scams, and hacks into your phone number and email that can compromise 2fa. Unfortunately since I'm on that list, that's the first thing I'm going to do be doing. This also means pulling all info I can find online.

Customer list leaks happen all the time, your personal info is out there for people to see. Hell, look, you can go on Zillow and look up someone's house, get the worth of that house and estimate that person's net-worth. It's really not that hard to target rich people if you want to go over to their house with a crowbar and a gun.

Fact of the matter is that we are living in an age where information is everywhere, which is great for criminals, but the downside is that criminals can be easily tracked, especially physically tracked. It goes both ways.

It's also transparent. Won't be hard to find the perpetrator. It's a risk reward scenario that doesn't make a lot of sense. Statistically there are very few burglaries, and the probability of being held at gunpoint is so low it's not worth losing sleep over.

The amount of criminals willing to do this is mind bogglingly low, but because it's a sensational scenario and our imagination easily takes hold - we assign a disproportionate amount of energy in worrying about it. Same reason that gun owners statistically never need their gun for some type of fantastic home invasion fantasy they create in their head, and they are ironically statistically now wildly higher risk of using the weapon on themselves or a family member rather than an intruder.

The scenario you create in your head isn't going to happen.

I am just applying my knowledge of Modern Warfare Call of Duty to the picture of your gun, when you customize guns in Modern Warfare the longer barrels and those kinds of stocks usually have little recoil, then the scope is for aiming at larger distances.

that used to be correct. The attack vector you’re talking about mainly formed due to police having ignorance of the new technology and being unwilling to prosecute or pursue crimes related to it with as much gusto as they might, for instance, a case with stolen jewelry. additionally coupled to this is the dark money factor, where initial bitcoin adoptees subject to this attack vector (strongarm harvesting) often had only their personal wallets with strong connections to criminal activity.
however, with only a few exceptions, the regulatory attitude toward the space has changed as well as law enforcement‘s understanding and capability to track and catch criminals trafficking in it.
