Can you go to the company and exchange your shares for some of their equipment? What about the gold/silver that they extract? Miners are no different than any other stock, a Ponzi scheme wherein you trade your money for something completely intangible. Watch this video below if you don’t believe me

There' nothing to believe. Take a finance class. The money that is kept is held in Retained earnings on their balance sheets. If I own part of a company, and that company decides to purchase equipment over issuing a dividend then that's GOOD! Because it means the company is trying to grow and will create more cashflows in the future.

I'm not gonna watch your 10 minute video, but the only real case I can see for "Stock market is ponzi scheme!" is stock by backs. Which is fucked, but that is facilitated by the federal reserve, and is really only something you have to worry about with huge blue-chip stocks.

Are you mentally ill? How is a company not paying its shareholders a single dime good? Also I am thinking about buying land. Anyone know if I can get my taxes to be significantly less by having an apiary (bees) and dedicating 5 acres to forestry or some bs? I suspect you already know this but having a certain number of animals (cows, sheep, chickens) will qualify you as a farm/ranch which allows you to pay much, much lower property taxes. I don't know the exact number but you don't even need a lot of animals. Maybe 2 or 3 cows. The property tax savings are quite substantial. I remember reading an article where it was stated that Michael Dell's "farm" was appraised at $30M or $60M but he paid less than $10,000/year in property taxes. In Texas, a $350,000 house usually pays about $10,000/year in property taxes. If Dell did not have a "farm", he would have paid something on the order of at least $600,000/year in property taxes.

I don't know if keeping bees qualifies for specialized tax treatment.

I agree, the boomers are essentially a generation of philo-semites. They worship mammon, talking to my parents always makes this more apparent because they want to just sell the family home and live out their lives on a beach somewhere. I want to build a house and have a multi generational household. This Jewish cosmopolitan life is a leading cause of depression not only in my life but most people that are not boomers. We have no roots and the boomers who always had a town and large families want the lifestyle we are forced to live in and all I want is a home crammed with cousins siblings and my own children and maybe grandchildren. Family is everything and it seems it is something that I may never achieve due to what you said has become of the labor question in the last 60 years due to the boomers idolatry of mammon.

In a sense, yes. Buying mining stocks instead of the PMs directly is a form of leverage. Generally speaking, especially for the smaller mining companies, a certain gain in the price of the PMs results in a larger gain in the price of the mining companies' stock. However, you must never forget that when you buy any stock, you are taking on all sorts of risks: management risk (fraud, idiots in the corner office, self-dealing), regulatory risk (British Columbia seems to love screwing over its productive industries with new taxes to fund onions consumption and basket case countries love nationalizing things), and maybe plain bad luck (test drill results look great but the real digging unearths much less than expected ore). Mining stocks aren't quite derivatives because you don't really have a time factor. That is, a reasonably well-managed company's stock shouldn't go to zero just because of the passage of time.

If you want an example of the kind of leverage you can get with a *good* mining stock, look at the chart of Kirkland Lake (KL) over the past 5 or 6 years. I didn't buy this stock despite having good information and left a lot of money on the table.

I've noticed talk of Kinross Gold on /pmg/ lately. I haven't looked at it in a long time but owned it in the 2000s. It wasn't a very well run company and despite the massive bull market in gold, it essentially went nowhere. Maybe management has changed for the better but those looking to invest in Kinross had better look carefully at the pedigree of management. PM bulls markets don't last all that long and you definitely don't want to waste your time with crappy companies.

I feel everything is cyclicallity in a generational way. One generation fights and overthrows tyranny for great wealth and freedom to the people, the next enjoys the wealth and freedom but allows government to grow and take wealth and freedom from the people, the next suffers from lack of freedom and wealth which are continuously diminishing as government grows more powerful; as they work they're getting less and less for it, having to take on debt to buy necessities, have less time for family and friends, find themselves depressed and mentally ill, but the society says they're wrong to be unfulfilled, having access to all the fantastic entertainment and distractions. The next generation overthrows and the cycle repeats. Roughly speaking of course I probably missed a generation in there. We're almost at the overthrow, but not yet. Things are breaking down but these things take decades of time.

They won't be intended for economic circulation. I just want .900 because .999 seems like a commemorative piece, as opposed to a true new minting of the old .900 coins. Hopefully Trump signs it and we get an idea of what they'll be made out of, how much they're making, etc

From a quick read I know that they'll be minted at different mints, and some will have privy marks for Carson City and New Orleans.

To clarify, there is one full troy ounce of gold in an American Gold Eagle coin with a $50 face value. The coin is not pure gold gold (it's 22 karat gold, not 24 karat gold) so in addition to one troy ounce of gold, there is a bit of silver and copper alloyed to make a harder coin.

Note, karats when used in discussing gold is a measure of its purity (12 karat = 50%, 14 karat = 58.3%, 18 karat = 75%, 22 karat = 91.6%, 24 karat = 100%), not its mass. Karat is a measure of mass when dealing with gemstones.

I'm not a farmer or rancher and have never lived outside of cities or suburbs so I have no idea. I would imagine that the easiest and least expensive animals to care for are pigs and chickens. Cows can be a headache from what I understand, especially if they give birth. I'm also not certain if you can just let cows eat the grass you've got on your land. I seem to recall that some ranchers feed alfafa to their cows perhaps for nutritional reasons.

Are pigs truly that dirty or is it more how humans treat them, purposely penning them up and putting them in dirty places? I figure pigs would be easy to raise since they're omnivores and thus you can feed them pretty much whatever you eat, minus any pork products. I do wonder if the government would allow those pygmy pigs (the ones that get about as large as cats) to count as livestock and if the government's qualifying quantity is on a head count rather than a weight. It'd be hilarious to have four or five pygmy pigs and qualify as a ranch/farm.

As for chickens, can't you build a fence and put them in some sort of housing that protects them from predators? Chickens are inexpensive so even if you lose a few, does it really matter if you're raising animals for the property tax tax breaks?

Because, unfortunately, the hype engine has started and it's difficult for people to walk away from "guaranteed" massive profits. I put a small amount of money into uraniums stocks in the 2000s and lost money. My overall return was probably -80% (yes, negative) or so. I'm still holding shares of Dennison Mining and Energy Fuels (UUUU) from the previous decade. Even after the recent run-up in uranium mining stocks, I'm still 90% DOWN on Dennison. I sold my shares of Mega Uranium last year for tax purposes and that was also a 90+% loss. Since I sold Mega Uranium in December of last year, it has doubled. However, even if I had held until today, I'd still be down over 90%.

For those looking to speculate in uranium mining stocks, be careful. They have been terrible investments over the *decades*. If you're jumping on the speculation wagon, only do so if you're absolutely certain that this is very, very early in the speculative cycle. If everyone and his dog is talking about it going to the moon, it's most likely because they're looking for people to dump their stocks to.

1. What is money?
2. Why did we have 3 global financial crashes within 25 years?
3. Did we change anything to correct what happened during these financial crashes?
4. If not, will interest rates go up or will it change, or will it go negitive?
5. Will the fed stop printing money?
6. Will the core GDP of America change from a consumerist growth to manufacturing growth?
7. If so, what will happen under triffen's paradox?
8. How can you account for how much the world is printing to mining supply?
9. Why is the gold and silver ratio be accounted when you have global refining supply lower than that?
10. Why do people care about bread and circuses?

Max pain. I won't lie this was one of the hardest bull market corrections ever, 5 and a half months is pretty rough. But I think a lot of retards just momentum chased silver and bought at $20 plus prices, not including premium; people who don't understand the bull case for silver and gold, and so can be shaken out really easily. These people were destined to get blown up and the market will always punish them in an almost sentient way.

I always have and always will say: Do your god damn homework.

>>25001481
You don't get it anon, if you chase memestocks you'll always eventually lose, and trading in and out a bull market is a surefire way to miss half the insane gains that're already in the bag. You just have to forget about it. Did you think you can grow your account 10% every month or something? Unless you're rick rule you shouldn't be fucking around with PM stocks like this. Be right and sit tight. If you need money get a job. Why gamble when it's in the bag already?

This goes for things like Uranium, copper, commodites, crypto in general. When you buy assets that're meme status on 4chan you're already too late. Even if you escape with gains, the practice of doing so blows your account up eventually. You have to do your own work to find the assets before they're overvalued and the risk reward is against you. When you pullback during a bull market with fundamentals intact, then crab for 5 months without breaking down, that's ultra bullish; the charts all look like perfect flags straight out of a textbook. It was the last train out and I backed up the truck on my PM investments this month, and I've already made a lot a gains from the miners leading the metals. With this next breakout my portfolios about to go past the moon. You need to be doing due dilligence and homework anon, this isn't a game. This is life changing wealth.

Gold is up 27% for the year with pretty steady growth, no major crashes while Silver is currently up 50% for the Year but in that time the price has been as low as $11 and as high as $30.
Buy Gold if you want to preserve wealth, buy Silver only when you can't afford Gold, want to speculate on the ratio/price or want a more convenient barter item for a currency collapse.

If premiums for anything remotely decent go through the roof or in-stock inventories get cleaned out within a day or 2 like in March, may I again recommend taking the scrap-pill?

Retards will always exist so great BIN deals on scrap sterling will probably continue surfacing well after the moonshot. The deals will get harder to find and gobble up before competition finds it but cheapie Silver will still be out there. I may start hustling refined bullion to buy much heavier piles of cheap scrap (for refining) as a full time "job" to keep growing the stack when $50+ Silver hits, that would be fun.

I’m saying that not buying a full ounce of gold until you’ve purchased 500 ounces of silver is ridiculous, and that in order to have 4 ounces of gold you’d have to buy 2,000 ounces of silver first if you listened to Mike Maloney. You do you, but to me a 120:1 ratio is much more reasonable

Surprised at the lack of hype here, this is a CLEAR breakout. we're going to see $30 silver soon. Maybe some chop around there then we hit 35 fast. Beyond that there's barely resistance to 50. Then clear clear skies. Hope you guys loaded up, especially on silver juniors, who are extremely undervalued. $50 silver in 2021 is in the bag.

People stack at such a ridiculous ratio because they plan on swapping most of their silver for gold, which I think is ironic because that in of itself is an admittance that gold is the better asset. They also assume that gold will stay the same price in a silver moonshot which is itself ridiculous. The ratio will remain unchanged no matter the price and they would’ve been better off just buying gold in the first place instead of thinking they’re the smartest person on earth by swapping the two

It's now the 5th year in a row where production is declining. There is simply no more silver left on this planet. Meanwhile, the bullion demand more than doubled this year.
At one point (((they))) will have to let it go. How much longer can they hold it with demand far outpacing production? In only 3 comex's delivery months JPM had to say goodbye to half their monstruous stack it took them 10 years to accumulate.
No matter how much paper silver they print, that wont feed stackers and industries.
$100 silver is FUD.

At the very least the mining ratio, so 1:8.
And i expect gold to at the very least x3 during 2021.
So 2000x3=6000/8= $750oz

Sorry but this is non negociable. I wont accept any other timeline.

Also, fun fact : There is as much silver in bullion form worldwide than gold bars in the russian central bank.
Let this sink in for a minute, frens.

Christ you guys get demoralised easy. I've heard the exact same rhetoric when I was shilling $14 silver this year. They can manipulate all they want but market forces are always stronger. Then they have to cover. Eventually they'll be on our side of the trade anyway so who gives a shit. I'm glad our chart dumped in August, the chart looks way healthier now for a $100 and above silver, instead of another 50$ blow off top.

The obvious bull thesis for silver is that it provides better optionality in regards to monetary matters than gold. Gold is ~50% priced on monetary means in regular times. Silver is probably like ~15% in normal times. Then because silver stockpiles are so comparatively small, monetary instability makes the price of silver be ~80% driven by monetary issues. That's why people own more gold than silver.

>ridiculous ratio

Riding around 1500:1 myself and there's no way I'm playing any faggot ratios and trading for useless gold which becomes appreciably more plentiful every year. The monetary case for gold is solid, but the technological bull case for silver, in conjunction with its current ~7.8oz ag : 1oz au mined ratio makes it very easy for me to keep piling high at this ridiculous 70+:1 price ratio. If anything, goldbug jews will be trying to trade for silver as the ratio collapses and I'll tell them to suck my schmeckel and enjoy their tungsten because my adamantine autism is too strong to be swayed by such trickery. Wouldn't mind more gold for collection purposes but not as any sort of shrewd up-trade, Silver is awesome.
