I'd like to see an alt coin designed around the idea of micro transactions for video games. It wouldost likely need to function like videogame currencies which can only be spent on the game and are non-refundable yet it would need to function across multiple platforms and games such as this on steam, Xbox, Playstation etc.

Unironically, CRSR is a phenomenal long. eSports is going to grow, sure, but even if pro gaming never really takes off casual gaming is here to stay for the rest of modern civilization.

Right now, just about everyone under say, 30 years old, has played video games at some point in their life. Over 30, those numbers drop hard, and once you get to boomers and older theres nearly zero gamers. In 30 years as demographics change, those 30 year olds will still be gaming at 60. Retirement homes in the future are going to have fortnite and MW2. The overall addressable market of gamers is going to steadily increase year over year for the rest of both of our lives.

So making a long off this, there's lots of plays. Activision, EA, etc. are all the obvious ones. But I'd prefer to sell shovels in a gold rush. CRSR's gaming components (like the shit that runs computers) are the best in the business. Their meme RGB keyboards are too. MIce are decent, and their headphones are just mediocre (although young kids are buying the shit out of them for style points).

>> No.24982504

Other plays like AMD and LOGI are also great moves, I like CRSR specifically as its more a gaming pure play, while LOGI has a lot of workplace exposure (which I see as a bonus), and AMD is computing in general

Look into a microcap called Phantasma. NFT minting factory comes out in 48h.

Their dApp links up to Steam so game devs can mint NFTs for their vidyas directly. All NFTs are interoperable across ERC20 and Neo so any minted NFTs can be sold in opensea. Only 8M market cap.

They got a midbuget competitive racing game coming out on all major consoles Q1 2021 called 22RCS and a bunch of other games in the works.

NFTs and Video games will be huge during this run. The demographics have a lot of overlap and will be quick to adopt. I'm expecting a 10-20x next year and up to 100x if the golden bullrun really happens

there's dmarket, a site that right now is just used to trade steam game items (csgo/tf2/dota) so it's kinda pointless

But we don't really need a coin, we need a way to decentralize items into unique IDS that can be used on any platform, instead of steam market only. and we could do that like the NFT system and just use ETH to pay

This is a problem that major game companies need to solve on their own but if they do, the E-market of videogames will change forever and you will be able to trade Wow gold for fortnite sknins and then into league champs etc

But you might have noticed that most companies want to keep items account locked (because their strategies don't involve creating an economy for games, for example in fortnite kids buy x skin for 5€ and it's always 5€ on the store but they became tradeable their price would be determined from the state of the game economy, making that skin possibly 0.01€)

>no scamming because they need confirmation
>Item IDS and documentation to know what you are buying and how much it's worth elsewhere
>Item quantity history etc (like you see in TF2/csgo)

But if we had a decentralized way to operate all of this companies would focus on creating economies rather than creating sell only content.
Steam is way ahead of everyone on this and they have what it takes to put a system like this in place, but they have had problems before with things like:

Gambling - anyone can use these items to gamble instead of using real money that requires 18+
scamming - this only becomes a problem because for the company when they have to spend money on customer support/anti scam systems, otherwise it's a user problem

vidya, from what I gathered when studying in China, isn’t frowned upon but it is seen as a bit of a waste of time. People are too busy competing with over a literal billion other people for social/financial standing. Money trades are usually outside the platform, for example:
I have an item for csgo(steam) and I want paypal/bitcoin for it, to do that you would need to trust someone into giving your items, and receiving payment after, so there's a lot of scams.

Right now there are third-party sites that do it as a middleman but there's a lot of fees, registrations and other requirements.

Steam obviously has their own trade system, but steam money can only be used inside steam

superhero movies are such fucking cancer. I even hated them as a teenager. Predictable, uninspired, garbage that rely on hype and spectacle to catch the 30-second attention spans of the normiest of normies. It’s the movie equivalent of TOP 40 music. When I see someone wearing a batman shirt I immediately wince. Superheroes are for children.
