24952265 No.24952265 [Reply] [Original]

Red pill bullet points:
•Most used protocol in crypto after Ethereum.
•400m daily query volume.
•More daily query volume than Google in 2005, which was valued at $52B.
•10x growth in query volume over the last 6 months.
•52% query growth per month (As measured in July)
•Even if current growth subsides, it will handle more queries than Google does searches, in 2 years’ time.
•1% of query fees are burnt.
•The Graph is used by almost every single defi project, Aave, Snx, Uniswap, Gecko, Dextools, Chainlink, ect... The list goes on and on.
•Its near-term goal is to index all blockchain data, it's already indexed thousands of subgraphs and has hundreds of indexors and hundreds more curators.
•Its already a fully working and fully fledged product for thousands of subgraphs. With more being added every day.
•In the future, it will likely expand its horizon to index everything on the internet.

Napkin pumpamentals:
-Assume query fees are $0.001 (we will find out the real number soon)
-Assume network grows at half current rate for the next 12 months (conservative estimate)
In 12 months time the network will handle 10B daily queries (conservative).
This will generate revenue of $10m per day for network participants ~$3.6B per year. Plus 52% monthly growth. (Let's say 25% as conservative estimate).
To value the network at only 10x the yearly revenue would be disgusting for crypto. Literally never seen before disgusting. But let's be super fucking delusionaly conservative and only value it at 10x the revenue. (More realistic is 100x, but anyway...)
Then the network should be worth $36B in 1 year time.
Current FDV is $5.5B.
So even by the most delusionaly conservative measures, it'll do more than a 6x over the next year. (more likely to do 60x, or higher)
This thing could easily be worth trillions.

again, you have no sense of scale. Ethereum's little ecosystem is microscopic and is not going to hold the #2 spot for very long. You're deluding yourself to think otherwise and further deluding yourself that a subset centralized governance token for a protocol living in the ETH microcosm is going anywhere near the market cap of the top 10 coins - EVER. it's pure stupidity

kek your IQ is so low it hurts.

the graph is a backend service. for each google query, it triggers hundreds, maybe thousands of backend queries.

the graph is worthless and only non-programmers dont understand this. if they start charging for their queries, devs will just spend a few hours switching to something else.

You fucking retard. We just had a SolarWinds hack which compromised so fucking much that we need to find decentralized solutions. Even if we're not just acknowledging that moving it to blockchain would se immeasurably safer. It would also be good to have it be decentralized in order to have the service never go down. Which is another thing that is really being put to the test with the US's security vulnerabilities. So as this anon said.

kek, how low is your IQ?

the graph is a backend service. 400 mil backend service queries is nothing. Like I said, for each front end query, google makes hundreds/thousands of backend queries.

For example in my dapps, each front end query might make 10 the graph queries, and that's for some simple ass shitty dapp. Google makes 100x more.

Your IQ is literally too low to comprehend what I write. Learn to code brainlet. Stop pretending you know anything about programming and just accept you've been BTFOed

kek, learn to code brainlet, you can access historical blockchain data on any archival ethereum node, which literally every single Ethereum provider offers.
