There is a huge difference when people say network effect for something like chainlink. Chainlink has the providers of data and then clients who need the data.

Whats to stop a competitor to offer what its doing now at no cost.

Graph is querying the database of historical data (which has already been happened) via code environment.

PARSIQ is not querying, it is performing transformations on live streams of events (that have not happened even yet) with automation triggers, user data and direct integrations with on- and off-chain apps, devices, web services. Also not just ETH, but blockchain agnostic and available for both coders and non-coders.

Not saying the Graph is a bad project by any means. Just that it doesn't really bring any new innovation to the space in my opinion. There's a million projects doing GraphQL based queries.....

Look Graph is dominant. thats why we all bought a bag. But can it stay dominant? that is my question.

There is no network effect when it comes to Graph. Graph offers a supperior solution for enterprises. But even the service sucks at times. It crashes a lot. just ask any developer why their site doesn't always propagate data the way its supposed to. This leads me to believe there is an opening for a new service decentralized or centralized. like who cares. Only neets like us cause we can make a buck.

But if im running a company and pulling data what do i care? give me the best service at the cheapest rate.

No such things as decentralized service without fees, Meaning any new network that'll come to "rival" The Graph will need to be centralized in order to offer what you're asking.

Centralized indexing=Regress in the whole goal of this space.

Also other networks will need to become as big as The Graph in order to rival them, I don't see that happening.

And network effect mean basically that, Assuming GRT is used by the whole space already then it's causing a network affect by definition.

I'm so sick of this lie being trotted out as if it is established fact.

Plenty of people were aware of Graph. There's threads on here going back to October with people anticipating the launch.
Crypto twitter(not just the daily shills you might follow) was always giving Graph its due.
You visit the Twitter of Snx, Uniswap, Aave, Uma and you'd be bound to see it mentioned.
I'm so tired of people being asleep at the wheel and then waking up in a parade and blaming everyone but themselves for their ignorance.
Reddit is always late but biz, biz i thought was better than that.

Sleeping at the wheel, or mired happily in pnk, statera and rlc threads.

Just like you said, people have been building steam for this for months but because they weren't being vigilant, "it came out of nowhere"?

Men with zero accountability....

It means I don't come from the future BUT you should make a decision according to actual data, NOT fear or emotions.

Looking at the 15min chart /1 hour chart make this choice REALLY easy anon. But i can't spoonfed you more than that because there is inherently a risk, as in every investment.

yeah i see the bull flags thanks. i just wish i didn't buy near (extremely) short term top. anyway i got an initial stack at 0.363 so my average isn't too bad. it's just that if this does moon, every % of stack size right now really matters. and i plan to hodl or die with this.

go ahead and panic sell, go ahead and think you can psychically time the dip and the bottom of the dip. it's why you will always remain poor. literally all you have to do is buy, hold, and forget about it. $10billion MC doesn't happen overnight, and not in a straight upwards trend. just relax. if you've ever held something good long-term like LINK you should know this.
