this is it lads if my calculations check out ill be getting somewhere above a 3.4x using 6 figures

had i done this sooner id be getting more than a 7x and would already be sitting on a 2x and not returning to the wage cage. itd have literally been smooth sailing but i was too impatient and fearful. had i actually done it then and there rather than acting scared id be sitting on a nice sum

this pisses me off so much. the math was there but i usually ended up ignoring it many times chasing other pumps only to fail. so many times where id ignore it. i know it sounds cocky but it is painful seeing how many times my math checked out only for me to be too fearful to risk anything. for months i ignored my own math and had i listed i'd have succeeded over maybe 80% of the time. but every time my own impatience and fear prevented me from doing it. NO MORE! if it happens as i suspect on this one ill be sitting at mid 6 figures by my estimates.

anyone else here have this inner struggle with themself? how did it end?

im sick of this impatience that has costed me huge gains more often than i want to remember

well my issue is why put money in airliners when everything about their financials is screaming get the hell out. You know the recent spike is purely from hype and hopium, but there's going to be at least a year of shit earnings since the whole world would need to be rid of covid before travel resumes to normal
a year of cashburns, what does that mean for the company? A lot of people cite that airliners are essential, yes they are, but shareholder value is very much at risk (e.g. stock dilutions if not outright bankruptcy like airliners have been doing before they became profitable the last decade)

I'm sure I can get +40% in safer shit that is actually growing with or without covid. Even the AMD meme will probably hit $140 next year (their YoY growth still goes as high 50%)

one way it might work is if they tied the space flight in with regular trips or vacations. i think it's dumb to just charge people to fly to space, but if you got some rich fuckers on their way to the alps for vacation or on their way to new york from dubai for business they might want to have a detour in space or at an extremely high altitude just for the experience, just going to space though won't really be sustainable. also they had those high speed flights with the concorde back in the day and they died overnight once the crashes started happening.

Dividends are forced tax events for what could be normal capital gains. Actually taking out LOANS to pay yours doubles down on the cash burn. XOM is also stubbornly refusing to write down assets. This means an equity raise is very likely.
Look at DIS since they suspended theirs.
Dividends torpedo growth, simple as.
