I actually sold yesterday. It is a very real possibility I will come to regret it, but I don't think we will go much higher than 30k, and for sure won't have anything near the same bullrun we had in 2017. We need some major unease in the world to hit 100k

We are in the despair phase? You fucking goon. If you were not retarded and trying to talk shit this would be Return To Normal or New Paradigm. If this is despair give me some more.

>> No.24859497

Also we still don't have any adoption, the cryptospace is still in it's infancy. I'm gonna chase profits elsewhere till the real bullrun gets going. Hope i'm wrong.

>> No.24859637

But to answer the OP question, based on the way we have been moving since the last halvening, I think we are further ahead than media-attention. The media has been unaware for months, which I find very strange.

However, I could be completely wrong and we just passed the first bear-trap (which I in this case fell for) and we are gonna hit 50k in the next 3-4 months. Personally, I don't think so, but I have been wrong a lot this year, not just here.

Well, obviously not "the new paradigm", since already were at 20k before.

> We are atleast a decade away from that.

Exactly.

Markets are forward thinking.

Why do you think TSLA is worth a trillion dollars?

Because idiots expect what it will be in 2040.

Same with Bitcoin.

People will buy expecting it to be "currency of the world" after a few decades.

>> No.24860245

>>24860096

I do worry about the institutions moving in. However i'd rather earn passive income off the real-estate I have bought thanks to crypto than to HODL any more. I have already ridden this from a few thousand dollars to 20k, all the way down with LINK, then sold at 18 dollars a pop. I sold my remainder now. Easier to make money off real-estate than to have my funds do nothing in Bitcoin. In the future I will buy back in with spare cash, but when I can put down 10% equity on home-loans that generate revenue, I can't see the point in holding on for another 30% increase.

>> No.24860374

>>24860155

TSLA has no realistic competition and is based only on what it could be in 20 years from now. I sold that too. I consider it a money-sink when it pays no dividends. A n00b trap like no other. I can't see any future where Bitcoin will be the currency of the world, and that is why I have sold as well. It is a pyramid-scheme like all others.

>> No.24860429

However I do think the technology will be very useful when we are ready for adoption, I just can't see Bitcoin being the one. More likely we will get a common choice agreed upon in the UN or other instances, instead of adopting the unknown entitity that is Bitcoin.

When the media is saying "institutional buyers" are buying at these levels, what they really mean is that they're probably net short BTC futures contracts.

Institutions are *not allowed* to buy BTC. SEC does not allow them to trade in crypto.

Why would you believe anything the media says anyway? The US dollar has reached support, and the value of the dollar can only go up in the short term.

I was going by the investment firms like Microstrategy and Greyscale, but I suppose you're right in that no real institutional money has entered the scene yet. Admittedly I wasn't really around during the last boom/burst in crypto, how did institutional money enter then? Wasn't it through VC's?
