Serious question:
There seems to be very broad consensus in /smg/ that the stimulus is not happening
I haven't seen a single poster argue that the stimulus is going to happen this week (just a few saying that it's possible)
Everyone in /smg/ says "Stimulus ain't happening"

If this is the case, that nobody here believes the stimulus is going to pass this week, then why are you still in the market / why are you not buying puts?

Why do you believe that the markets are going to rise when there will be no stimulus until January (minimum)?

Don't you think that we're going to see a dump when the stimulus fails and they go on recess?

I don't understand how /smg/ can unanimously agree "The stimulus isn't going to happen" but then no one is taking up short positions or reducing their risk
Pls explain

So you believe that the Fed is going to come out Wednesday with more dovish news, eg. "We're increasing QE substantially!"
Based upon the previous minutes, where members expressed concern about buying more securities, it seems unlikely to me that they're going to announce more buying - the Fed doesn't want the dollar to collapse so will not make moves to speed that up
I think the Fed is instructing Congress not to pass stimulus until the dollar gets stronger

i'm actually a retard when it comes to bonds, however I think I still have the general situation pegged.
endless QE has caused about 30% inflation so far. not insane but unsustainable. when it starts to get really bad however, (and it will), the FED is left in a peculiar situation. Their only tool (printing), if continued will cause social unrest when the price of gallon of milk doubles. So... they return to QT (tightening) by raising interest rates to prevent that.
no more endless money means everyone that's overleveraged has no more easy money. then the various pyramid leverage schemes all start collapsing on each other and accelerating the fall. all that's needed to trigger all of this is a bad earnings call on something big like TSLA when its already overpriced by 10x.

F makes great cars and they are an american institution. Henry Ford was a damn good man too, does anyone even know who Chevy was? Chevy Chase? He is some pinko comedian. You know the rust belt is hurting and we all know Chevy can't do shit about it but F certainly can. You see anon, if F does well, we all do well. If Gamestop diluted at the full $100M (which they specifically said they didn't need to) it would still be the most shorted stock on the market by far, institutional ownership would still be over 100%, and short interest would be in the high 90s.

>If they were smart they would have rebranded into a general "geek" store loaded with all the shit soiboys love. Baby Yoda figurines, funko pops, a mini fridge filled with Soilent drinks, and wacky zany stuff like props youd see in The IT Crowd (like thinkgeek which GameStop owns, sell Rick and Morty tshirts and plushes. Make it the B&M version of reddit.
Have you been inside a Gamestop in the last year? That's exactly what they've done. They also sell shit like TVs and PC parts now.

the stock market is an arm of the financial system, and any financial system is subject to regimes. we live in a fiat money pseudo-capitalist society. amazon, tesla, beyond meat, these are case studies in the new capitalism, where various sources of financing are readily available for new and innovative businesses.this is an oversimplification and i'll give you another oversimplification, fidelity, blackrock, vanguard, state street, and the various other large asset managers are essentially the unelected bureau of finance. if they want an industry to succeed, they will insure its financial success, and if that involves inflating its stock price to use as a source of capital, that is not out of the question. really though savvy people that understand the regime we live in bid up the price of these chosen companies because they can spot they really easily. for the last 10 years, spotting these companies has been the best way to make money, that's not always the case, because although the financial regime will likely stay the same, the doctrine will vary.

I closed all of my positions not too long ago and am starting to reenter. I bought way too many GOLD 2023 leaps, but Barrick is criminally cheap now. They got fucked in the exuberance of the last bull run in 2011 and overextended, so I'm super pumped their executives stated that $1200 is the new $1000, meaning they are looking to base their expansions off off a more conservative estimate of gold prices ($1200 being the break even price of gold for them).

For silver miners, it honestly depends. I'll probably get some good leaps on the biggest miners and toss some cash for stocks on the smaller ones due to liquidity issues.

I don't plan on selling the GOLD calls for like a year, and I'll probably sell silver shit when it hits big milestones in price spikes.

A long CLF position is hoping that, when again there is talk of an infrastructure bill prob in Feb/march, that is actually happens. When for the past 3 presidents - Bush, Obama, Trump- it went nowhere. There is some swing potential around there maybe.

Iron and steel, like uranium, are protected industries in much of the world. Recovery projects will almost certainly require domestic sourcing. And that is the problem for CLF or most US iron/steel plays.
China will almost certainly try to just build their way out of economic weakness. They have a history of doing it. And they will source excess need from large providers like VALE.
The US has a NASTY habit of having such projects go nowhere. And the odds of that happening again given the battle lines around "green" projects aren't helped.

Did a quick past::present::future, it actually came out real interesting o_o
Past: Ace of Swords, Kether, Air. Fundamental building block of reason and intillect, atomic point of creation, cutting objectivity. Thelema is inscribed upon the blade, Love under Will. if Love is the Lantern, then Will is the iron pole with which creation is illuminated. The sword reminds us of this, striking upwards towards the crown, the sky, higher knowledge and razor sharp truth.
Present: Princess of Cups, Malkuth, Water. From the highest sephirah (Kether) we have struck straight down to the lowest (Malkuth). Emotion welling up from a subaltern position, the Swan leaping up from the earth and seas. See the turtle, it bears the world on its back, so too does our humble princess. Clarity of emotion and thought.
Future: Ace of Disks, Kether, Earth. Straight back up to the highest sephirah, fun round trip. Elementally as well, as Air is allied to Water, and Water allied to Earth, yet Earth opposes Air. The ace, the root of solidity and matter, dependability. The solar (To Mega Therion) disc on the green of spring, the egg waiting to be fertilized.
What could it mean? A shift from high beta and tech to value? Day of the Russell? Hehe, it’s not up to the reader to tell the querent what it means to them :3

First, have realistic ideas about your annual return. Beating the index consistently is hard. This is mainly because you fall behind during rough patches on cumulative small (hopefully not large) losses. On average say 10-15% per year. Good traders can pull over 20% per year every year. The absolute hotshot best can do 30-40%. Now do the calculation of how much you need to gain desired monthly income minus cappy gains taxes.

20k double to 40k with margin isn't enough. Not even close.

Based. Retards always say "it doesnt matter if a company isnt profitable! Look at Amazon!". Reality is Amazon is a glownigger company. So is Tesla. And Twitter. And Faceberg. And Microsoft. And Apple. Steve Jobs was literally John Lennon, just like Alex Jones is Bill Hicks.
If a company is part of the glownigger/kike plan, it will succeed because the Zionist forces will collude to ensure its success, and profitability does not matter. However normal companies not in their club will just crab eternally even if profitable and if they ever arent profitable they will lose 90% of their price.
