Bump. Particularly looking for entry-level stuff. I don’t have much of a programming background outside of very basic concepts (loops, if-then, whatever)

checked, I'm a pretty experienced developer. I recommend some courses on Udemy. Also look into Haskell and Solidity.

They're all outdated. It will probably be a year before any relevant books come out but by then where will the technology have gone?
DeFi, smart contracts, Dapps, 1st party oracles, staking, yield farming, POS, etc are game changers and they've only really just come about recently, a lot of it just this summer.

Awesome, I’m hoping to get the fuck out of engineering and maybe crypto will fuel my computer science studying.

Fair, but the fundamentals (specifically for bitcoin) still apply

I think DeFi is just a branch from the genesis of this space, just like the utility token ICOs. I think the better you understand the fundamentals the easier easier it will be to understand the next projects that branch out. For instance NFTs.

Rothbard is of course the biggest normie around and you're way smarter than him for granting the masturbatory term "intellectual" to rival schools of economics that just rationalize whatever banks and governments already wanted to do.

From a strictly blockchain point of view, ready player one is solid advertisement for how NFTs should work. Crypto powered weapons and gear, esports, F1 style teams, crypto prizes, rinse repeat. Can’t remember what the project was called but one anon mentioned something that basically sounded like “what would it be like it my bank account fought your bank account?” NFTs

Basically. Wrap it up in a game built around AI cinematography, allow gambling and advertising. Splash tokens everywhere. Other than money laundering what do they even do. I’ve seen .crypto domains sold as NFTs.

Yes bitcoin is a great starting point. Mastering bitcoin is a good one. Also just read the white paper. Then move on to ethereum wp and maybe mastering ethereum too. From there on you can easily grasp the latest fads in yield farming or what have you

how hard is solidity to learn? I was toying with the idea to make a smart contract that i'd put my shitcoins in there and it would only unlock after a certain period of time (3 years for example) to combat my weak hands. I know there's probably templates out there I could use and would probably be better in terms of security, I just want something to toy with on Ropsten I guess.
