What bitcoin sidechains? LN? Lets laugh.
Ethereum is everything the LN should have been. There is no equivalent of Metamask for bitcoin.
Metamask have the code which could prompt online stores to accept ether for payments, without needing paypal or credit cards. The potential is just there. But LN? Just a experimental testbed for geeks.

This is true but I am no longer a maximalist. Bitcoin is better than gold and an ecosystem of altcoins is better than the old fiat ecosystem. Whereas it was too easy to print more fiat it is too easy to create new shitcoins but as long as people have enough self-control to stick to the top 20 alts it is a good asset class.
