Trying to pick miners is always tough and requires some domain expertise to do better than the etfs (URA and URNM), IMO.

Still, if you want to try your hand at it, with uranium it's probably easier than other things:

-The big and mid tier uranium miners who have survived the bear market and continued to produce are mostly solid. Check their balance sheets though.
-Producers with lots of mined/processed Uranium in reserve could profit quickly in the initial run up.
-Producers with large proven reserves in the ground could be valued highest of all, especially if it looks like the price will stay high for a long time.
-Jurisdictional risk is a major consideration. Uranium is a strategic asset and political hot potato. Governments are always liable to nationalize, or crack down on foreign investment.

Interesting, I've got copper miner shares but I personally disagree with the reflation and recovery hypthesis for 2021. I'm short term bearish for that reason but extremely bullish medium to long term.

My thoughts are the exact same as yours just delayed by 12-18 months. I guess I'm seeing the current copper spike as a headfake before a real bull market. Recessions take time to work themselves out in my experience. Just haven't really seen enough insolvencies and panic to call for a bottom and reflation.

Where I ve worked there were women underground, but they werent miners, they were all technical staffers, surveyors etc. There is a very strong female presence in mining, and has been for at least the last 15 years.
