Because fo that whale other weak buyers sold because "why did whale sell? ahh" , that made a chain reaction of weak new money sells allowing those who were waiting for a dip from the ATH to join in. The weak hands will most likely buy back in or get distracted by BASE or something else. This is also known as a correction
