this is not at all what i said. students are not allowed off premises in many cases and have been forced to rely on food parcels (which a majority of students are entitled to by right of payment for catered accommodation). I cooked all the way thru uni and i could barely afford my rent and worked at meat packing factories with romanians and bulgarians over summer just to make ends meet. had several jobs while studying too so I have no idea how you expect people to afford anything with the entire economy on standby. when I was furloughed from my job this year my furlough money barely covered the rent for a room with a live in landlord who was furnishing one of his other properties during lockdown while working from home in the kitched (I stayed two months in my bedroom and barely left it except to piss and shower occasionally and I could still not afford it).
