Anyone else a newfag that finds watching exchange charts and order books really comfy?

I find it maddening

I prefer bare bones TradingView charts. No volume, grid lines, indicators, just black background and candles. Orderbooks and trade history are a psychological assault and are mostly noise. Unless you're a whale and have to be careful about liquidity

Glad you like it. I built that one.

Awesome job you did. I’m curious what you would think about an idea I had:

I’m thinking about making a website which would let people predict the price of any asset over a period of time by just drawing their prediction of the price curve, and then averaging all the curves to get a community prediction and displaying that on top of the real price chart. Pic related.

Sounds fun. Absolutely pointless, but fun

Yep. That's exactly why I designed them like that. I took my own experiences from video games and applied it to the trading view. Performance tuned the shit out of it too.

Funny that they've barely changed anything since I left.

I wouldn't expect it to accurately predict the future, but it would be useful as a gauge of market sentiment. Go for it and make sure to spam the link around here when you do so I can come across it eventually.

how much trading signal is contained in orderbooks? Are there resources on trading with orderbooks, or studies on how profitable strategies are?
