Is putting trading on your resume good or bad? I think it's poison honestly. I've never gotten a job with trading on my resume. Do people just have a low opinion of traders? Are they butthurt from being wrekt in the market?

Use big words to describe what you did and be able to speak to something complicated you did if asked about it on an interview. i.e. Did you develop a trading strategy and backtest it against historical data?

You want to communicate that you weren't capping and market buying the tops. It's like dating; companies are hypergamous, they want to hire people they think are better than them.

If youre a trader then you dont need the money and wont take abuse at work. Bosses wanna feel like they have power over employees and the employee needs them. If you cant get that feeling, then why bother being a boss.

Thats why you say you dabbled in it created this model and that indicator, lost the passion for it and its become more of a hobby. It brings in beer money and youre happy with that. Appear intelligent but so humble that you have no ambition. This is only applicable for mid tier and below jobs. You dont have to excuse yourself for high paying roles they expect you to be working on stuff outside of work.

you can put it in the hobbies along with cardio, lifting, non-specific types of literature

no more than that or it becomes cringe
