Nice. PGY-1 preliminary medicine intern here, going into dermatology. My entire net worth is in cryptocurrency. I went all in Chainlink around $3, and it payed off handsomely. If all the memes and price predictions are true for the upcoming Golden Bull Run, I would theoretically be able to retire just as I'm finishing up dermatology residency in a few years...I think I would still work for a few years maybe or start my own clinic, hire other dermatologists, and just manage it.

Unironically i recommend you work as long as you can, investing safely. You won't need memes. Do crypto or gold or whatever to hedge. Just don't be all crypto all the time cash is still king and you certainly earned your upcoming high income.

to OP dont forget to maxing out your Roth IRA boomer stocks with Vanguard or something. Hedge your bets since private equity is moving in hard on Derm now like how they did with Anesthesia, ED and Psych a few years ago. Gonna be a lot more midlevels taking jobs in order to cut costs at these groups, just pray you get PAs instead of NPs to work with. Ima probably stay in academia either way since I'll be rich from crypto an can just stick doing research and not worry about salary, but anesthesia is getting rekt right now as well with CRNA scope creep. I think it'll be a only after a large amount of deaths start racking up before legislation is reintroduced to limit scope of midlevels again
