Was looking to buy l.Iit due to the merger but the information is sparse. Any info I see is vague but it seems they intend to heavily dilute the shares at merger by 100 times the current amount. The math I did do suggests that after the merger the stock would be under $4 a share simply due to how heavily diluted it will be in comparison to other stocks in similar fields. Meaning the current price is a massive rip off.

From what I've seen he's actually a good trader. The problem though is that trading is not only recognizing patterns, trends, areas of support, etc etc. In order to become a doctor, engineer or whatever, you have to go to school for years and educate yourself, and trading is no different. It usually takes years to become a successful trader that won't kill himself or quit after a few months to a year, so will a $1k course help you? To an extent sure, but a course won't teach you your own trading plans, the risk management that works for you, your mentality to trading (which is big because some people can't even handle trading mentally), etc etc. Even with these courses it will still take you years to actually become good and honestly, everything he "teaches" you from his courses are public knowledge and can easily be found on youtube or in books.
Courses are unironically just a way for good traders to establish another source of income, because they know that they can flex their trading history and gather a following of dumb people that wants to make money not having to leave their comfy home

I did my research before buying these calls and it seemed simple enough, pay the premium for the contract then sell the contract for a more profitable contract or if it finishes out of the money it expires and you lose the premium you paid in at, but I read something about naked calls and if you don't actually own the stock you can end up paying a lot more if it gets executed, but I thought no one actually owned the stock on the options they bought. Am I overthinking this?

You sell 1 call contract, your position is -1.
If the owner of a call contract exercises the option, it's randomly assigned to a person who has a -1 position.
You were +1 and sold to close the position, making your position 0.
Now you have no position.

Us plebeians would never be approved for naked calls because the risk is infinite.
A lot of people misuse the term naked calls when they really mean covered calls.
Your broker wouldn't allow you to be -1 without the collateral set aside for the maximum loss anyway.
For regular calls (not spreads) this means you need to own 100 shares to be allowed to sell a call.

You have to wait until the expiry date of the call you wrote, so you will have to wait longer to sell, and there is the chance that the underlying drops so much that even though you buy back the call you wrote for nothing you still lost money than if you were to just limit sell days prior (also there is the chance that it went higher than your strike in those days and you lost some opportunity cost). If you do it 0 DTE there will be no real extrinsic value left on the options so it wouldn't really net anything for a deep ITM call.

So in the end you can do it on a weekly and just hope the stock doesn't move down that much, and also keep in mind that your equity will be locked up for a whole week where you could have limit sold and put that money elsewhere, so weigh the gains you expect vs your other decisions and decide.
