I picked up this book and it talks about incoming deflation. It was published in 2011 so a bit old. Ray Dalio also talks about a mass deleveraging that causes asset prices to fall. He is long gold and EM Stocks.

Do you think deflation is coming? FED buying assets and Yellen a pick for the Treasury seems like that isn't going to happen.

Don't quite know how to judge this.

Here are Shilling's picks for deflation. He chose long dated t-bills, but that would have been a bad buy. What am I missing here?

No inflation as long as the poor countries where all of our shit comes from are required to buy stuff they use with dollars.

We’ve been in disinflation for 40 years biztard (like your old boomer book from 2011 tells you), next comes inflation (and lots of it) as QE goes directly into the economy through infrastructure rather than assets like 2008.

japanification, or the fed continually keeping the knife from falling is the most likely outcome i think. i'm buying china, russia, and SE asia, gold, btc, land, and guns.

I believe inflation is coming and will hit us all like a bus sometime early next year.

Deflation in real terms i.e. when measured against real money, i.e. gold.

Inflation in nominal terms i.e. when measured against fiat money, i.e. US dollar.
