There are some tell signs, but its impossible to be 100% certain. For example, if you see an alert for a stock with ITM puts a few months/years out, that is most likely a hedge. You also got to look at whether it was bought at the bid or near the ask (the emojis in the pic). Stuff near the bid I've found more often than not to be covered call sells. If you see something like pic related, a high amount of contracts bought near the ask, I might gamble some money on it because that might be a buy. I bought pic related and sold for a 50% gain after only a few days.

Extended play means you should probably hold for more than a day. I think aggregated play means that multiple alerts have gone out for a certain ticker in a short time, but not 100% sure on that.

For short dated ones ya, you want to sell them intraday. Longer dated ones hold for longer obviously. Just make sure you have an entry and exit planned for whatever you buy.

If you're up on short dated options, its best to sell them the next day. I bought NIO puts prior to that anti-China hearing and sold them in the morning for a 150% gain. If I held, they would have been worthless cause NIO fucking mooned from -11% to 8%.
