The C3 IPO? Are you talking about THE C3 IPO? I, too am considering the C3 IPO. I heard that C3.ai posted an initial IPO price range of $31 to $34 per share, with the company anticipating a sale of 15.5 million shares at that price. The enterprise-focused artificial intelligence company is also selling $100 million of stock at its IPO price to Spring Creek Capital, and another $50 million to Microsoft at the same terms. And there are 2.325 million shares reserved for its underwriters as well.

The total tally of shares that C3.ai will have outstanding after its IPO bloc is sold, Spring Creek and Microsoft buy in, and its underwriters take up their option, is 99,216,958. At the extremes of its initial IPO price range, the company would be worth between $3.08 billion and $3.37 billion using that share count.

Those numbers decline by around $70 and $80 million, respectively, if the underwriters do not purchase their option. C3 IPO

The main advantage of betting in the markets versus sports betting is how often dumb/stupid money doesn't take advantage of available information to limit risk and gauge probability of success. Time is also more of a factor. A sports game is decided within several hours. Exiting and entry is not an issue there.
Sports betting is nearly impossible to arbitrage misplaced or miscalculated odds. Its NUTS even in relatively esoteric or fringe sporting events.

Your post is both right and wrong, if you try to "guess games" it's almost impossible to win but there's a trick.
You set up a script that scans all brokers for odds that stand out. If you find something that is higher at one broker than at most other brokers you play it. If you do this you will win but you will also get banned very quick.

Betting companies ocassionally "throw a bone" to bettors by setting odds that are a little bit too high that's why this works but they are aware that they are doing this and will ban exploiters.

What? I don’t know what you’re saying.

If you’re selling/writing options and the contract reaches above the strike/below the strike before expiring. You gotta hold up your end of the deal buddy and either sell that stock at the agreed strike (Naked Call) or buy that stock at the agreed strike price (Naked put). You have to be approved for level 3 options trading by your broker because of above risk.

If you’re simply buying a contract and it hits above strike/below strike, that change in current market to strike price should automatically be in your contract (intrinsic value), if it’s got a decent amount to expiring chances are it’s got some decent extrinsic value too (what others think this contract should be worth). Don’t sell options at expiry, ideally a month or few weeks out from expiring.

Please stay away from options trading until you learn a little more, you WILL lose money.

In a normal market where stock prices are at least somewhat indicative of underlying fundamentals, >>24504418 is right. I think the one thing he leaves out, though, is that in normal process investing is a slow process that relies on exponential gains and society's continued advancement. The real wealth transfer isn't between investments in different stocks, it's between investors and consoomers.
In the current clown market where the Fed is pumping money like crazy so that Boomer's 401k's don't crash, it's creating mini-bubbles left and right, and that's leading to extremely risk seeking behavior that really can't be distinguished from gambling that we used to only see in penny stocks. This is pushing the market more to become more of a zero-sum game.
