I was told most USDC is issued on Ethereum, some on ALGO, some on XLM. That could still be bullish if ALGO is adopted. I suppose the question is do you foresee a future where USDC transactions are settled on ETH and ALGO or just ALGO swallowing ETH on the USDC front?

As for the institutions, I'll have to give this a look for sure. Thanks

Speaking at or sponsoring a talk does not constitute involvement or endorsement. Chainlink was at a bunch of conferences with big players and was hyped about here all the way up until it actually happened. Afterwards no one said shit. You know why? Because it didn't do jack shit to the price. Conferences are nothing.

>Silvio Micali: Computer Science, MIT
>Yossi Gillad: postdoctoral research, MIT and Boston University

These are just two that jump out, with their working primary at/with MIT. The latter with IBM connections. Here's the team:

https://www.algorand.com/who-we-are/our-team

I can't seem to find the article, but one of them has ties into central banking I believe. Maybe someone else can find that. Either way, their platform is ready to use just as much as Ethereum is. And you have a point about developers having the option of both. If professional institutions had to choose, they'd probably go with a team of verifiable MIT computer scientists as opposed to one headed by an anorexic Russian cat shirt enthusiast. At least worth a small bag at these prices. It had no problem getting listed on coinbase and getting close to $1 over the summer bull run, and that's even with the excessive supply AND staking already implemented for its holders.

Thanks for sharing.

I knew ALGO was ready for showtime and just lacks the adoption and frankly decentralization of ETH.

If they get some partners to integrate with, they'll get usage, which could still raise the price. ETH and these other, technically better chains co-existing-both at higher price levels-is probably what I am convincing myself of locking in as a projection

If I had to guess, with the staking rewards as generous as they are they'd have to essentially brrrrr the token to irrelevance if they kept it going. Whatever you're getting as a staking reward now consider that free money you can take profit with during the first big pump.

I looked this up a few months ago, there is something called the staking rewards program which is closed and it will distribute a special pool of 200m ALGOs to participating wallets, I guess it was to incentivize people to keep money in ALGO
https://algorand.foundation/stakingrewards

then there is the normal staking which is like an interest rate for holding ALGOs on the chain
https://algoexplorer.io/rewards-calculator

I don't think the latter is going to suddenly end, it sounds like it's built into the blockchain code, but someone correct me if I'm wrong
