Enough of these crypto fad coins that are useless, bringing decentralization to storage, computing power, or any sort of app. Or those that let you create decentralized apps.

Let's discuss real cryptocurrencies that are actually valuable, and are backed by competent developers and good technology including high speed, low fees, anonymity, security and scaling opportunity. Cryptocurrencies that have the potential to actually replace fiat and have a market cap worth trillions.

These are the coins I want to invest in, so please inform us of the big contenders and why they are so great so I don't have to do my own research.

XMR and ZEC are the alternatives to holding bitcoin in August and I expect their values to continue to go up in the short-term and possibly maintain them even after segwit adoption (whenever that may be)

ETH is just on a different planet right now. Basically it enabled large-scale, regulation free crowdfunding, but I have no fucking idea how much that concept is worth, The problem is that people are buying into it thinking that it is currently something that it is really not (a 'do-anything' blockchain)
