Is ETH undervalued? I have seen many say even that it is criminally undervalued.
I sat back and thought about the value of Bitcoin, and while it is impressive, ETH is by far, without a doubt a more influential technology. If BTC is gold, ETH is unironically the invention of electricity.
That said, ETH launch appears to have been a success, besides the copypasta
>HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THIS, IT CANNOT SCALE
What evidence do we have that,
(A) ETH is undervalued
(B) ETH should be at or above Bitcoin's market cap
(C) ETH is not Yahoo, but Google.

Discuss.

I don't disagree with that at all. Gold's market cap is $9T, however the global economy is said to be some $40T. I believe Bitcoin 100% has a place in this world, but I think it still has somewhat of a theoretical limit of value given that it's limited supply, like gold.
An economy itself however has no theoretical cap, as I'm starting to believe is true for Ethereum as well.

No one even knows if ETH 2.0 will work. It's literally 2-3 years away from being completed

>> No.24458821

Why don't people use blockchain?
1. It's inefficient
2. It's slow
3. High fees
4. Uses too much energy
5. Too complicated, you could just use a centralized database

ETH fixes problem 5 because it makes it easier for any retard to make a dapp, like you don't have to worry about shit like mining and stuff. ETH 2.0 will solve problems 1-4, meaning companies will now ask "why not blockchain" instead of "why blockchain". We will see more and more companies do stuff on ETH, we will see more DAOs, more adoption, more dapps, after eth 2.0 succeeds. Even now, without scaling, ETH is used by tons of people, there's billions of dollars locked in DeFi even though fees are super high. Think about what will happen once ETH 2.0 succeeds.

I'M SMARTER THAN 99% OF SOCIETY BECAUSE I OWN 32 SHARES IN ASK JEEVS.

ONE DAY EVERY NORMIE IN WORLD WILL HAVE TO USE ASK JEEVS. WE HAVE FIRST MOVER ADVANTAGE SO WE CAN PUT OUR FEET UP AND DO FUCK ALL TO IMPROVE THE NETWORK OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS BECAUSE WE ARE ASK JEEVS AND WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE YAY ETH 2.0!

THAT THING CARDANO IS NOT GOING TO PULL A GOOGLE AND DESTROY US BECAUSE WE ARE ETH AND WE ARE THE BEST YAY!! INNOVATION DOSN'T MATTER IN TECHNOLOGY.

ETH 2.0 Phase 0 just launched, and it's just a matter of time before the rest of the upgrades are launched. ETH has tons more devs than ADA and ETH devs have spent the past 5 years figuring out everything and making sure there are no holes in their staking stuff. ETH has been battle tested and ways contracts can be hacked have been documented. ADA has not been documented, and it will be scary for devs to develop there because there might be some weird bug in the compiler or something.

You could have 100% perfect code but if the network does something weird you could still lose money.
Any developer will agree that it is much safer to program on ethereum rather than on cardano if they release smart contracts or whatever. eth hasn't failed in 5 years and they have much better devs.

>How many times has Ethereum been exploited or hacked.
So many times that people have now lost count. A Conservative figure would be at least 100 times with over $250 Million dollars stolen. All of these hacks, thefts and exploits are a direct consequence of developing in Solidity.
Ethereum 2.0 doesn’t resolve this problem or even address it. Draining liquidity pools and stealing users funds is always going to occur even when you “audit” the contract. Ethereum developers would rather not discuss this topic.

No it's because the devs are shit at coding.
Medical devices all have chips inside coded in C. Solidity is partly based on C. You don't hear about those things failing all the time because of software errors, do you?

This is the correct answer. There is no minting ETH, there is no wallet hacks. All of these "hacks" are exploits in someone's contract akin to a SQL injection.
