took profits a couple week ago and paid off all debt, left about 70% of my positions in crypto, in the process of buying a house with my SO but will only touch stuff from my TFSAs for that. still a stressful time, i'm worried about the climate and tell her it might make more sense to buy property up north.

This. a world war is typically good for stores of value. Gold is actually not fit for purpose as it is hard to transport, is inconvenient to use as currency and is often seized by governments. Bitcoin and Ethereum can't be.

My plan is two-fold:

1) Accumulate ETH and BTC.
2) Allocate capital to promising ALT coins with asymmetrical risk and nice upside potentials like AAVE, Deversifi NEC, LINK, and some others

Another thing I will intermittently do is find the next token to moon, buy it and then convert profits to ETH.

the thing is, when you have enough savings to pay off a mortgage you are not as scared of it. I crossed the threshold awhile ago and just riding investments now. I get it though, owning it outright would feel good.

I'm wondering if it's even possible to sell in a price free-fall. When the alt-season ends and people wake up to see their coins in free-fall, and no one is buying, can those people even sell at all?

That's not how it goes. Selling is still possible as most of the crowd doesn't even know at that point that the peak has been reached and whales have already cashed out weeks before. As everyone thinks it's just a small dip for a week and getting brainwashed with the HODL meme or BUY THE DIP, the whales give it one last pump to bring hope to then just dump it into oblivion kek.

So yes you have time to cash out as people are still buying at that point like madness.

>> No.24458207

I plan on selling based off of a couple of charts on lookintobitcoin. Just going to go off of historical indicators and try to average over the peak. The idea I have going around in my head is to transfer my bitcoin to a sketchy exchange with no KYC, trade into even sketchier stable coins hopefully around the peak, wait out the bloody dildo market, buy back into btc when it is "dead" at ??k per btc. Hoping this will stop me from getting raped by the IRS. I need one more cycle to "make it" because I'll only have a couple hundred thousand

Just sell it and send the usd to my bank account, then declare it as income/capital gains (depending on if it's a token or some defi earning). tf you mean, "cash out plan"?

And if this is just a vague tax avoidance general thread, why do you incels act like you are the only ones in the entire world who have to pay taxes on your earnings?
