Probably dumbest question ever, do I buy now? I know all the people holding will say yes and all the people who sold will say no but realistically is this the bull run to 100k? Or is it just going to reach 20k then all the wales etc cash out and we're back to square one? Which one is it lads.

If I had $20K lying around to invest in bitcoin I would agree but I don't have nearly that much, even investing $1k would be a large financial risk for me and the reward would only be $500? It's just not worth it. If you told me its going to 100k on the other hand.....

comprende?

never ever buy parabolic pumps. buy the correction.
you had a correction recently down to 16k, you will get another one. It might or might not get to 100k nobody knows, but it will for sure have more corrections on it's way to 5k or 100k or wherever else its going.

It's not really a financial risk. It's a halving year. It has historically gone up 10-20x during supply shifts. You're still early is usually a meme, but in this case, you're early in the cycle.

It wont ever go to 100k, that is the same retardness as "Link 1k EOY" and "XRP 2k EOY", not to mention pathetic shitcoins shilled like "STA $10 EOY", it may realistiically go to somewhere between 30 and 40k though, evn higher, if the bullrun continues. In that case I would not invest in BTC but in some of the larger alts, like ETH, LTC, LINK, XRP, XLM, ADA, because they have much more room for growth. Some could unironically do a x5 or more.

investing or speculating? the best investors in the world make 8%? these people have way more information than you, connections, capital etc. Invest yes but expect 8% IF YOUR LUCKY. Crypto is SPECULATION, don't expect linky returns every year. Go play with shitcoins then, when BTC finally decides to calm the fuck down you will be able to get your 2-10 x on random ass alts and microcaps. buying BTC now is for the normies, who have no idea what is going on and have not watched BTC climb with practically no resistance up until now.

Bitcoin is in a halving season. It's the start of a parabola. Financial institutions are the ones interested in it currently. Supply is dwindling, which creates upward price pressure and more demand.

THIS, it never fails to amaze me how people expect to make it without any stable income. This is why investing is for the rich, you first get yourself in a position where the money is not an issue and then start chucking money into investments.

All this. If $1k is a huge financial risk, don't get into crypto, hell, don't get into investing, period. Work on improving your skillset (in CS, databases are eternally useful, AWS and Docker is hot right now but who knows by the time you graduate), work on building an emergency fund, then start investing.
You're going to find a lot of people here that have survivor bias from having made it in either the BTC or LINK moon missions of recent years, when 100x lost it all from betting on some shit coin and went to zero n

It all depends on the time frame you're looking to invest in it for. If you want to cash out end of month? No, bad time
If you are waiting to hold long term for the potential 50k or more, then what difference does it make if you get it at 19k or 17k?
