Over the last couple years I've had a significant amount of my alt portfolio down 900%.
Hodl was my only option...

You're massively retarded.

You do realise the recent growth has been purely organic, with very little hype from the 'outside' (normie) world? Compared to 2017, the state of the crypto ecosystem is far highly quality, with significantly more adoption and usability of the underlying technologies. With institutions like Microstrategy, PayPal and Greyscale (just to name a few) hoarding years' of mined bitcoin, you really have to ask yourself by the laws of supply and demand *how* it will fall. Especially as boomers are changing their attitudes regarding the assets as, over the long-term, Bitcoin has only ever gone up.

Shorting a market like this is nothing short of suicide. If you want to short, at least wait a week. But by next week, $30k Bitcoin wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
