Monero has shown that its able to evolve by successfully forking many times. It has grown a strong community and aquired a solid reputation through out the years. This is basically a mixer. You can have pseudo-privacy by managing which wallets have a history of interacting with each other but it's not the same thing as default privacy.

Merely interacting with tornado.cash will get your wallets flagged and tainted by exchanges and banks in the future as they classify it as a mixing service.
