Hi coinfren.
why does it take coinbase support so long to respond to support tickets?
Also why is coinbase not supporting flare tokens for xrp holders?

>> No.24350039

How can I increase my daily withdrawal limit? I've been requested 2 times and both times declined. Fuck with your strategy. When I am cashing out how is important I withdraw 50k or 200k faggots! I already KYCed and you have all the required info too. WTF else you are expecting from me to approve it, motherfuckers!

I never saw a single haircomb in the office.

>>24349984
I don't think I'm a cunt, I haven't really done anything cunty ever. I'm just a normal dude who likes programming and this is a chill, cushy job.

Brian is kinda a cunt I agree. He's pretty emotionally stunted. I think he's well intentioned but he's mega awkward and it's pretty yikes sometimes. He tries. I dunno. I haven't worked with him too closely but I've had lunch with him a few times. He's a weirdo.

Hmm let me see how I could find the earn waiting list. That's an interesting question.

>>24349998
You know, it's something I've wondered too, why support is so slow. I haven't really looked into that side of the org too much but it is something that is brought up all the time in company meetings and such. We try to be better with and there are metrics we target to improve. I think in a lot of ways we grew too fast; we're around 1,000 employees but our support staff is like 50. There's probably tons of tickets. And it's always explosive, too, like after an incident, so it's overwhelming. I think there's probably some poor management involved there, too, but I'm not sure.

I don't know much about flare tokens, but in general we don't support many customized things for different coins. I think the people working on the xrp chains probably want that, but they have different priorities, and it's hard to support that in our generalized platform right now. A lot of the focus in blockchain development has been on Rosetta.

I am already 50k and seen many people with 200k-300k or even more. Technically, how is it possible to be 25k for all of the people. It doesn't make sense. Thanks for answer fren... well hopefully coinbase can improve their support soon. I see coinbase as the "coca-cola" of cryptocurrency trading apps, very newbie friendly but sneaky conversion fees are a bit too high.

Two more questions if i may.?

How secure would you say coinbase is for your average holder?

What are the next upcoming coins releasing on coinbase?

Of course I read that, it was all the talk of the company for the last few days. We have had internal and external investigations into those claims supposedly and it's all been debunked. I've always wanted to work for coinbase. I'm in the fintech industry, but CB seems to be the most cutting edge while still staying within regulatory boundaries.

I don't think it's going away anytime soon and I see it becoming a pillar of the US financial system.

Do you recommend it? I am in the southern USA and I don't see much of a footprint of CB around here, which I think is a missed opportunity.

Definitely the fees are very high. We consider ourselves the premium platform, so that's how we justify it.

Coinbase is extremely secure. Like fort knox, but more. Our security protocols are pretty wild, to protect against insider threats and otherwise. Coins on coinbase are incredibly guarded. The only risks for the average holder is getting their own account social engineered through sim swapping or otherwise. Protect against that and you're good.

>> No.24350507

1) Technical issues. Various incidents. We try to scale and keep up with it but a lot of our systems are mid transition to newer things. We still have a lot of mongo db and such laying around. I know the incident from a few days ago was related to various critical-path postgres databases getting hit with issues like too many queries, needing a vacuum, adding an index fixed, and locking up like that. Our system is surprisingly complicated and interconnected. There are a lot of bottlenecks, and they are extremely hard to identify or see coming until the load actually comes in. We're trying to get to the point where we can handle it preemptively, with load testing, but there's a lot of work to do.

2) No. No one can sell when the system is down. We don't have some magical internal trading method.

3) Definitely. Hiring is going smoothly. Covid hasn't negatively impacted us.

Personally, I'm not a hardcore believer. I do a good amount of Bitcoin myself (around 75k worth right now) and am hodling for years. I think it's an interesting emerging technology. I like that it enables international transactions easily. Defi I hope doesn't get crippled by Apple and Google preventing proper apps. I think a lot of crypto has a serious UX problem.

What excites me most is probably just the new technologies it enables. Defi with automated transactions allowing augmentation of day to day life for additional incentives that help motivate people to do better things. That sounds interesting. Or horribly bad. We'll see.
