To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to invest in Palantir. The company itself is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of coding and sata structuring most of the tech and its applications will go over a typical investors head. There's also societys nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into a dystopian high tech future- this philosophy draws heavily from Orwellian literature, for instance. The PLTR investor understands this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this company, to realize that they're not just a company- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike PLTR ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the inclination in what PLTRs CEO said when he said, "We believe in augmenting human intelligence, not replacing it," which itself is a cryptic reference to Huxleys magnum opus Brave New World. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Alexander Karp's genius wit unfolds itself on their brokerage sites. What fools.. how I pity them.

I have no life. The markets is all I do, 16 hours a day. You don’t understand the level of faggotry soijack poster has shown over the past few months. He doesn’t ever post tickers, he doesn’t ever post advice - he doesn’t ever discuss the markets or trade ideas. He only shitposts 12+ hours a day. He kills discussion. Someone will make a post and he’ll respond quoting their post with a soijack. It’s a tool of silencing. It’s a pathetic ad hominem attack on the poster, and it prevents the /smg/ community from expressing ideas freely. We are all here trying to make $$$ - he is not. He is here just to FUD and shitpost.

Yeah just wait for your "crash" to happen and then buy in and have a second march 2020 all over again. Bonds have been negative yielding in reality, even dumping your money in gold or even real estate are safer hedges than buying the US government's IOUs. Unless you have high 9 figures and access to premium rates, you're barely going to make any more than what your "high yield" savings account gives you.

This market will be killed when they get fed up by wagies making too much money and decide to "regulate" the market for our "safety". Right now the biggest returns in the market are stocks with electric vehicle exposure (from car manufacturers, to charging stations, to lithium miners - anything connected with EVs) NIO, XPEV, LI Auto, BLNK, SBE, CBAT, LAC
Less risk + less return would be stocks related to 'commodities'; stocks like CX for cement, CLF for iron, oil companies like RDS.B or XOM
There's also some big returns to be found in investing in covid recovery plays, such as airlines, movie theaters, cruises etc. AMC, CCL, NCLH, RCL, DAL

I have 9000 shares of PLTR. Bought pre-ipo at $5.25 share in March 2019. I see a lot of mistakes in these comments. The lockup expires 3 days after they announce year end financials which will be about middle Feb 2021. They announced Q3 on Sept 12, so figure about 3 months after that. I see people say it is Dec 31, but that is not correct. My opinion for the huge price increase is because only 20 percent of shares are available. Not a lot of Palantir employees are selling,...they would have already sold if they needed the money. So you have very limited supply of shares on those 20 percent amount. And, now hedge funds and institutions are buying on only 20 percent available shares...and their not selling. There is not a lot of supply available until Feb 2021, then you may see some bigger price drops...but the price is going to be much higher by that time. Remember Soros said he is selling shares, well he could only sell 20 percent and thats what probably dropped the price to below $9.00 in October. When Soros and some other employees unload remaining 80 percent in Feb 2021 we may see more volatility. Just my opinion. I am long Palantir forever...
