>> No.24340472

I've had it. This place is full of the most degenerate, weak-handed pieces of shit I've ever seen. If the market doesn't go in their favor for just one fucking day they panic and lose all hope. Then another one of these fucks screams about something that by the grace of God had a green day and the rest FOMO in, latching to their new purchase with pride and telling everyone before it crashes the next fucking day only to repeat the process. Despite being conscious of this cycle of failures in their little insectoid minds, these subhumans only look into low quality, cheap pieces of absolute shit stocks and leveraged ETFs that swing 5% or more a day. They would rather fuel their pathetic, dopamine-addicted brains with massive losses they will never be able to recover than make any semblance of a good decision. Buy high and sell low. No strategy, no plan, just a four figure portfolio dedicated to speculative trash that they don't understand, can't understand, and don't want to understand. Worse than lemmings, irredeemable filth like this compensate for their complete ignorance by repeatedly affirming each other before the inevitable collapse. Anyone with a fucking brain who sees through the nonsense is attacked. After all, in the deranged conception of the market held by these 70-IQ shitheads, anyone without the latest pump and dump can't be making money; they're not able to make money without desperately gambling on the bottom of the barrel scams, so nobody else is either, right? Fuck you all. Never change, /smg/.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to invest in Palantir. The company itself is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of coding and sata structuring most of the tech and its applications will go over a typical investors head. There's also societys nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into a dystopian high tech future- this philosophy draws heavily from Orwellian literature, for instance. The PLTR investor understands this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this company, to realize that they're not just a company- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike PLTR ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the inclination in what PLTRs CEO said when he said, "We believe in augmenting human intelligence, not replacing it," which itself is a cryptic reference to Huxleys magnum opus Brave New World. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Alexander Karp's genius wit unfolds itself on their brokerage sites. so this shit is pretty easy. I fucking wish I found out about this crap ages. I've known what options are but never considered delta pops would have liquidity to fill. I opened this account last Friday with 2k. I scalped valueline approved stocks with obvious momentum but low iv, solid OI, calls Wednesday and set limits at 920am. That was fucking it. Thats ALL it takes. Within 15min I had my principal back.

I took my 2k out and rolled 10k into the similar because I'm in disbelief. If it works again I'll be requesting a bloomberg terminal from my work. 10k to 50k would be sweet but that 50k into 250k gets my attention. I can only imagine if swung debit spreads with my 500k margin account.

I dismissed all this as lucky tesla fanboys.

not necessarily. It's the rich liberals in my area that primarily use public transportation (like ferries to NYC) and just own a car for grocery shopping. The one's who don't have cars use Zipcar, but the concept is the same. Poor people with cars don't mind paying for insurance because a car is freedom to them, as long as they have money for gas they are good to go. What fools.. how I pity them.

Think of a selling a covered call as a limit sell + tip. The tip is the premium you get from selling the call when someone else purchases it. You can also run into the chance of the call you sold expiring worthless so you pocket the premium and are able to sell the call again. Selling a cash covered put works in the same way except its a limit buy + tip. Cycling through covered calls and cash covered puts on a stock is called running the wheel, look into it. Its a good strategy for poor fags. You should only sell the stock outright if you feel an insane drop is coming soon before a call would expire.

Greta Thunberg is the reason I work out. I have this fantasy where we start talking at the UN climate summit after party. We exchange a few pleasantries. She asks what I do. I say I loved her on CNN She laughs. I get my drink.
"Well, see ya," I say and walk away. I've got her attention now. How many guys voluntarily leave a conversation with Greta Thunberg? She touches her neck as she watches me leave.
Later, as the night's dragged on and the coterie of gorgeous narcissists grows increasingly loose, she finds me on the balcony, my bowtie undone, smoking a cigarette.
"Got a spare?" she asks.
"What's in it for me?" I say as I hand her one of my little white ladies. She smiles.
"Conversation with me, duh."
I laugh.
"What's so funny?" she protests.
"Nothing, nothing... It's just... don't you grow tired of the egos?"
"You get used to it," she says, lighting her cigarette and handing me back the lighter.
"What would you do if you weren't a climate change activist?" I ask.
"Teaching, I think."
"And if I was your student, what would I be learning?"
"Discipline," she says quickly, looking up into my eyes, before changing the subject. "Where are you from?"
"Mexico" I say.
"Oh wow. That's lovely."
"It's OK," I admit. "Not everything is to my liking."
"What could possibly be not to your liking in Mexico?" she inquires.
"I don't like sand," I tell her. "It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere."

Stocks already match inflation. Gold's major rival is bonds, specifically the 10 and 30 year treasury bonds. For major MMs, banks, hedge funds, etc. a significant portion of your assets will be weighted in some way to wealth preserving assets. Bonds being trashed have been the tailwinds to gold. If there is any inflation ahead, then a zero return shiny rock is better than a negative real return bond.
There is still an ongoing battle between the inflation and deflation theses right now. If there is inflation AND treasuries are sacrificed to the green line, gold will go up. If deflation, then gold will go down unless the deflation is extreme i.e. fears of economic collapse.

Beta slippage. Movement against your leverage wipes you out fast but the real problem is that "sideways" movement bleeds you out slowly. Compounded by fees if you do leveraged ETFs. Most sectors are cyclical so as to being a low term hold almost all of them work against you.
That said, leveraged index plays "wash out" the cyclicality of sectors by diversifying. If you think indexes are secular bullish, then it makes sense to leverage up on that. If the indexes go down or sideways then its unlikely there was any winning plays. It has been found by backtesting and modelling that the "ideal" leverage that sits in a sweet spot between possible gains and reducing beta slippage is about 2.5x. This is why almost all leveraged ETFs sit at 2x or 3x.
The ones discussed in /smg/ are TQQQ, SSO, SPXL, UPRO, etc. The only exception to a non-index ETF being SOXL (3x semiconductor bullish) given the ubiquity of semiconductors in tech.

What fools.. how I pity them.
