Trust me: I am involved in real academic psychology research and know plenty of HR people: it is not even a pseudoscience or an art: it is a fake degree where they teach nothing but horseshit and pop psychology (real pop psychology, the really cheap stuff). HR people know fucking nothing about anything. Hiring is based on who they like and who would fit a team well. Nothing is strategic or scientific. HR people are fucking retards. Period. And the whole industry is relatively standardized meaning that you will get the same experience from place to place. Oh, and they're all Marxists. So good luck getting a job if you're a white male because the odds are against you. And if you get employed you will be a second class employee continually walking on egg shells.

I'm trying. The problem is this: companies hire HR how they would hire an engineer or a tech: "He has quals and experience so he must be able to do his job". The problem is HR is not even pseudo-scientific and they're not trained in quantitative psychology or business so they don't know how to sort candidates nor do they know anything about industry or business at all. It's all based on the equivalent of basically horoscopes. I'm not even kidding.
The companies just hire them as a firewall and leave them to their own devices and pay no attention. But getting the attention of higher ups is hard because all they care about is their paycheck and nothing else.
Nothing will change any time soon. Just get the fuck out. You'd be better off as a serf in medieval times, 100% serious (meaningful life, wife, kids, no institutional communism and economic slavery, God, blood and soil).

Anecdote (real): my friend who owned the biggest real estate company in France didn't get a job as a quant in a finance company because the chick in HR didn't like him and blacklisted him. This guy is a finance genius and built a multi-multi million dollar company with hands and got rejected from a basic position (he knew the CEOs and it was C-19 peak, but needed a job and HR just fucked him because wimmin feelz and not a nigger and lied to CEOs).
I know of many other similar stories (including myself, rejected for being white even though I was academically publishing before college; don't care if you call BS it's just an anecdote, whatever).
I'm dead serious: get the fuck out of this shit because it is rigged against you.

Because he showed me the entire conversation he had with HR. And upper management and CEO were the ones who asked him to apply in the first place. She made up blatant lies about him, like his entire history being fake (you can verify public records of big biz people so obvious fucking lie and it was a huge company), gaslit the CEO, and he never got anything back from anyone ever again.
HR is its own section and the scumfucks in it act with impunity. When I tell you it is bad, I'm telling you that it is really, really bad. Everywhere.

No. But there have been internet databases in the past set up by HR people that got deleted and banned from the net because that kinda stuff is illegal. But they do talk amongst each other and have private forums (something like Matrix servers etc., not sure). You can verify that by doing research on your own time (I forget the majority of that stuff but it is easy to find the stories about it). It's mostly relegated to private modes of communication.
