Depends on the delta of them. For example I purchased PLTR 2022 $10 calls prior to earnings. The calls had a delta in the mid 80s if I remember correctly. Upon open next day I lost about 0.40 or 0.50 in value, but that was more due to the slight price decrease; it rebounded very quickly. IV crush affects calls and puts more with a short expiry. Calls and puts with a delta of 80 or more are hardly affected by IV crush especially on LEAPS.

I made the account in august to test out options without completely losing everything. Took about a week for that to get set up after I sent them all the information.

The fastest way for me was just to liquidate all my holdings on Wealthsimple, withdraw it to my bank and deposit it into Questrade. It took 2 business days for the funds to settle on Wealthsimple, 1 day for the withdraw to go through and another 2 days for the funds to appear in my account. Usually it only takes 1 day for the funds to appear on Questrade after a deposit, but I did it during Nov 11 so it was a holiday. I have enough contribution room in my TFSA to do this, so if you don’t, you’ll probably have to do an institution transfer and that might take 2 weeks or more.
