The best way is to send it to send your money via ETH, not BTC cause BTC is way too fucking slow, to someone in a foreign country with minimal tax laws, i.e. a foreign family member, have him/her cash it out for you, and then have him/her either wire or mail you the money as a gift. Gifts are taxable on the giver's end, not your end. If the country the giver is in has no gift tax, you're free.

That's the best way to do it. When the IRS asks what the money is from, you say it's a gift and that's that.

When they ask what happened to all the ETH you bought a year ago, you tell them you created an address for it and then forgot the address so it has been effectively removed from circulation.

That'll do it.
