I am a complete money normie, and I dont have $ in tesla. However, I cant help but assume Tesla will continue to go up throughout the next 5-10 years. I'm not saying it is comparable to anything like Ford, but is it not a pioneer of a new "industry" with plenty of patented ideas w/ IP? The brand image around it is even more intriguing, I totally associate it with rich Californians and a sort of luxury; feelings that were rare about tesla even 3 years ago. Can an educated /biz/let poke some holes in my thinking?

The Japanese car manufacturers are broken versions of previously enormous industrial firms that were forcefully split up after ww2. You can't invest in the entirety of Mitsubishi in one stock. You invest in Motors, Electric, HI, etc.. You can invest in all of Tesla. You've had years to do it.
