It’s not so much the profit thing (at least not directly).
If everything was just cancelled and people’s positions are reset, that’s bullish - a bunch of folks who tried to buy at 70-90 at now able to buy at 61. That should spur a huge flood in.

If they’ve actually lost their money and coins for good however, that’ll basically be a large pool of potential buyers forever turned off.

Ultimately, only time will tell the effect, but I’d rather try to form a view of what is to come early.
