What's the most cost-effective way to build a successful e-commerce site? I have a niche I can fill but haven't made any e-commerce sites since Shopify templates in 2013.

Easiest is probably peddling game keys. g2g has api to integrate into your shitty word press based store plugin and then you just resell other peoples shit. It's enough to earn 20-50 cents per sale if you're doing 1,000 sales a day.

Holy shit, this guy spoon feeds you a good idea and you guys turn around and ask him if he can chew it for you too.

I was really asking more of effective ways to build and market the actual site, I already have a niche that I can fill as far as a product to sell.

His idea was cool since it doesn't involve touching physical inventory and it appears I wasn't too off the mark as far as what he's suggesting.

Wix and squarespace are both popular, they will probably do what you need. If you want a self hosted solution try WordPress + woocommerce.

That's not cost effective in terms of time. I'm a professional web developer and even I wouldn't code my own e-commerce site, it's waste a time when existing solutions exist
