If your computer is checking every transaction, as it should be, then it should never vote for a bad block.
I guess it's possible that something could go wrong and you vote for a bad block on accident, it won't just get rid of everything in your stake right away, there's a whole system of penalties just in case something goes wrong with an honest validator.
