Just got fucked by a fake contract. Uniswap won't allow me to swap the token back, is there anything I can do? Has anyone had similiar experience and managed to swap the token back for ETH or am I fucked?(unironically 30% of my portfolio and I'm just dissapointed in myself more than pissed.) I traded 4 Ethereum for this shit thinking I am ahead of the heard and woopty doo, my pants are down and my asscheeks are spread like butter. I was keeping tabs on a whales wallet by the way who also seemed to have gotten fucked by this scam this morning for 90ETH but thats not even like 2% of his portfolio so it's no excuse for me.

Here is the whale wallet, Idk how you can be a whale and still fall for this shit? I thought the early crypto boys were smart and shit how tf this guy got 4 mil minimum and buying this shit?

>> No.24188846

Yeah if someone has eth and whatever that coin is in the liquidity pool. Copy the token address from ether scan and swap it back for eth. May be at a loss but you should get something back at least.

>> No.24188882

Back to the main idea, is there anyway I can sell this shitcoin back for ethereum by toggling any settings or am I stuck with this shit? I also got a sharpie handy, if someone can help me get those Ethereum back that way...

I hit something like this a while ago, it seems like the coin in question had a contract activated burn/spend function so while liquidity and pricing looked fine the coin was in fact untradeable on uniswap after activation. I suspect the scammer just waited for a certain amount of buyers and then deactivated the lock and pulled liquidity.
Moral of the story, don't trade any coin until you are confident it has been vetted. You may miss out on potential gains, but that is vapor compared to real losses.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO RESCUE YOUR FUNDS.

You need to swap in very little batches. Maybe even 0.02eth at a time. Try to swap it little by little and the contract will allow it.

checked and thanks for the link, will keep tabs on them.

nice good call, I can't send a transaction larger than 0.015 however which is pretty much the gas fee right now fuck me. also, I am looking at the etherscan and it seems that there is transactions here and there that get sold, back to the uniswap contract that are larger than 0.015,, i wonder how this is possible?

>> No.24189896

yeah so this is a much cleverer rug from the previous non transferable tokens.

in transferFrom this part will fail since you aren't the owner

if (_to == UNI && _from != owner && status[_from] == 0) {
fee = Management(manager).calcFee(address(this), UNI, _value);
}

and I assume it just eats up the entire transaction value in "fees" in
this UNVERIFIED contract

pretty smart, I had to look 3 times to see it
