Hey guys, should I start at entry-level($55k) or mid-level($85k)? I'm in a job placement program that lies about my years of experience. Maybe I could pull off mid-level but I'm not too sure.

what to do. I'm going to rent a room for $500 a month either way.

I'm going with the entry level job because I'll be less burnt out and my dad is going to do real estate fix and flips with me anyways.

No wagies here, thank you.

Can someone please help me decide? I'm leaning towards entry-level so I don't have high expectations as soon as I start work.

What’s it for? Do you have any knowledge or experience in the field?

It's for software engineering. I have no experience in the field and I just did a bootcamp which I remember about 50% of the stuff.

Makes sense. I don't really need the extra $30k in salary and I would rather hold a job than look for a new one.

dont you just apply to everything and then see who responds?

Sure why not. Everyone fakes it until they make it. But make sure to cover your bases. If you don’t know something avoid and learn it until you know it. Find friends to lie for your experience. Get dummy numbers. Get dummy companies. Etc.

Then after a year, start studying online for free about the GMAT. then after another six months take the business school test and apply with some bullshit story about changing the world. Get a scholarship and ditch the company. Congrats when you’re done with mba you can get a 120k job starting. Good luck and manage your time
And money well!

Definitely entry-level if you haven't had much experience, even if you fuck up they'll probably shrug it off since you're still learning. If you pull that in a 'mid-level' position your odds of getting fired drastically increase.
