The fact that you say "instant recovery" tells me you don't know how a market moves.
Regular people put up stop losses, and regular people are buying at these prices because this is pure fomo and nothing else. Look at the volume of that selling, What do you think happens when you have 100 people who want to sell at $0.50, but only 2 who are dumb enough to be buying that high? There were simply no buy orders to fill all of those stop loss cell that were triggered. Nobody gives a shit about your 1000 xrp position, no market maker is going out of their way to take out your stop.

what exchange is this? you shouldn't be trading on such a low liquidity exchange/pair, and instead only have some super low bids placed to snipe things like that. i know several people that do this on every leveraged pair on low liquidity exchanges and they regularily catch insane wicks

I just never use stops, they are more dangerous than helpful. A few days ago a whale market sold a shitton of BTC and the price briefly dipped to €13K(from €15K), having a stop sell order would have ruined me.

Simultaneous assets do not dump and recover instantaneously in a natural market, especially when trading volumes are in the billions.
